Scientific Communication Manager for Royal Canin Finland, in Helsinki

Job description

Scientific Communication Manager effectively implements and continuously improves the company’s scientific communication in the market. The holder of the role is cabable of sharing knowledge about cat and dog nutrition both in written form and orally to varying audiences both internally and externally. The holder should be cabable of building powerful relationships with important stakeholders in the business by consulting and active collaboration. Scientific Communication Manager acts as a scientific support for all sales teams and consumer care by training and coaching and by helping with complex enquiries. The holder of the role is locally responsible for ensuring that the communication is according to the relevant regulations. Successful delivery requires proactive collaboration within the Nordic Scientific communication team and with sales and marketing teams in order to create relevant scientific communication which builds our brand image and increases prescription and loyalty among the professionals in the field and cat and dog owners. Scientific Communication Manager actively works for the achievement of company’s annual and long term targets.

Areas of responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements local scientific communication strategy in collaboration with sales and
    marketing, assuring that Royal Canin brand is communicated with the focus on nutrition science,
    quality and food safety.
  • Develops and manages the local scientific KOL strategy.
  • Delivers a consistently improving knowledge sharing via internal and external training and consulting.
  • Prepares, reviews and edits scientific communication material as needed for marketing, digital communication etc.
  • Delivers sales support through scientific communication and coaching to all sales departments.
  • Supports consumer care in complex enquiries.
  • Ensures the local compliance of product related legal and regulatory requirements and acts as the representative of the company towards the local regulatory authorities and related associations.
  • Actively supports Royal Canin’s involvement in trade events.

  • Higher degree as a Veterinarian
  • 3+ years' experience as Veterinarian, or 1+ years' as a Veterinarian with relevant former experience
  • High knowledge of cats and dogs nutritional needs
  • Advanced skills as speaker
  • Advanced skills in written and spoken Finnish and English
  • Experience in communication/marketing/scientific work is considered as an advantage
  • IT literate
